So apparently the reason for walking into that big group of Drag Queens earlier on is the opening of a new gay bar at the top of our street/round the corner. There is a pink bus transport planned from there to other locations. Interesting times ahead! Wonder what our resident nuns think about that...

Auckland...where you will see guys in bunny costums (mascots?) casually walking by, people wearing a santa hat (in October!), men who seem to either worship the sun or for some reason like to do the grandpa version of Tai Chi at the docks and todays favourite: Walking by the mosque and what seemed like a muslim festival, then walk up the road another 100 meters, around the corner and straight into a group of Drag Queens & Gays in front of one of the bars (seemed to be having fun!).
Conclusion: Crazy big city - but I like it

In Auckland you can always tell what's on this month by the colour of the Skytower...Rainbow: Gay Marriage. Pink: Breast Cancer Awareness Month...
